Tools for Therapists and Others to Support Deep Trauma Healing
This page includes the different tools and resources I have developed to support and guide working with Complex Attachment Trauma.

Exercises and Prompts for Exploring Your Inner World of Attachment By Kina Wolfenstein, LCSW-S
Available for both personal and professional use. The material is almost identical, but the professional use copy includes some notes for therapists to keep in mind. If you are a therapist interested in using it for both professional and personal purposes, you only need to buy the professional license, not both!
This workbook is a series of guided exercises intended to help you explore your inner world of attachment, or, if you’re a therapist, to support your clients in guiding and exploring their inner worlds of attachment. The exercises and prompts are written to take you on a journey of self-discovery and exploration by facilitating more than just reflection or analysis, and instead by guiding you into directly accessing your deep inner experiences with attachment.

Two Clinical Assessment Tools - the ATHA (attachment trauma history assessment) and the CATFA (current attachment trauma functioning assessment) are tools designed to support treatment planning and discovery of attachment injuries for complex trauma therapists.
The ATHA looks at the nuances of attachment history that are often missed in more standard trauma assessments, including exploring things like emotional attunement, enmeshment and parentification. The CATFA assesses many of the symptoms of C-PTSD that can be missed by standard PTSD assessments, including things like attachment patterns, self worth and relationship with emotion.
Available in both paper and online formats, with the online versions automatically calculating composite scores for you.
Please note these tools are not peer reviewed and cannot be used for diagnostic purposes - they are a intended as a useful in-session tool to explore your clients unique history and presentation of C-PTSD and inform your treatment goals.
