This workshop offers an engaging, cross-modal exploration of memory reconsolidation which is the brain’s built-in process for transforming emotional learning at its roots. We'll start with a clear, accessible overview of the neuroscience and core mechanisms that make deep, lasting change possible in therapy. Then we will explore how memory reconsolidation shows up across modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Coherence Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), and AEDP. These case examples will be used to illustrate the diverse and creative ways that Memory Reconsolidation can occur in psychotherapy.
